Grand
Terre is a barrier island off the coast of Louisiana. Until Katrina
and Rita paid us a visit it housed a research center for Louisiana
Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF). Each summer LDWF takes
a group of teachers down for a week of fun and work. I first
attended as a participant in 1999. Since then I have returned almost
every summer to assist with giving the workshop. I love it at Grand
Terre. It is one of my favorite places in the world to be!
